The mission of Shepherd’s Inn is to provide retreat for Christian leaders to experience rest, renewal, and care.
Shepherd’s Inn is the vision of a group of pastors who desire to see God’s leaders in the church, the mission field and in Christian ministries thrive by working from a place of rest.
Shepherd’s Inn is making the vision a reality. With approximately 1500 pastors leaving ministry permanently each month, Shepherd’s Inn provides retreat to invest in rhythms of life that will keep ministry leaders thriving in connection with Christ for the long term.
Our own Steven and Cheryl Barnett began Shepherd’s Inn after over 30 years of ministry. Personally witnessing the problem of burnout in pastors and church leaders they met along the way led them to a new way of following the Lord, stepping out on faith, and ministering to ministers.
We are incredibly grateful for Steven and Cheryl, not only for their years of ministry at Rivertree, but also for the heart the Lord has given them for ministry and His shepherds. They are near and dear to our hearts and we are excited to see what the Lord does through Shepherd’s Inn.
