Mission
Mission answers the question: what are we supposed to be doing? Jesus tells us, “Go make disciples of all the nations.” Simple. This is our mission at Rivertree.
A verse that has become important for us in understanding how God wants to specifically see disciples made here is 1 Thessalonians 2:8, “We loved you so much that we shared with you not only the gospel but our own lives as well.” This verse shaped the mission statement of our church.
Locations
Rivertree ministers from two campuses around the Huntsville, Alabama area. We have one campus in Hampton Cove and another near Downtown Huntsville. We hope to be a fellowship that works with other churches and shares important initiatives in our community, recognizing that God has placed us in a strategic location, and that He wants us to leverage all that we are towards making Him known.
The faith family of Rivertree invites you to join this story. We don’t believe that you are here by accident! We know that what you are looking for in life can be found within a dynamic relationship with Jesus. Let’s experience Jesus together and see what God does next.
Plan A Visit
We would love for you to join us on a Sunday morning at our Hampton Cove campus, Downtown campus or online. Our services are at 9:00 and 10:30 a.m. For more information on what a Sunday morning looks like at Rivertree Church, check out our What to Expect page!
Name
Rivertree Church gets its name from Revelation 22:2 – “The leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.”
God reveals that he will come again to his people. He also tells us of the place he is creating for his people. It is a beautiful place. There is a river flowing from God’s throne, and on either side of the river there are trees. Each of those trees is planted for the healing of the nations.
Our name is a prayer that our local church brings healing to all peoples through the gospel of Jesus Christ. We are a community of people who have been changed by Jesus, and God’s kingdom has come into their hearts. God is using us to bring blessing and healing to all in the name of Jesus.
