Did you know there are over 450 children in foster care in Madison County with less than 250 foster families to take in these children? Tragically, over 60% of foster families burn out and quit after the first year.
You don’t have to be a foster parent to support foster care and help foster children.
The Bridge Ministry is excited to launch Foster the City, a new ministry creating teams to support foster families: keeping them strong, well loved, and in the field.
Volunteering with this new ministry would involve meeting small but tangible needs once a month, as well as praying for the family and sending notes or texts of encouragement. The goal is for each supported family to have 4 support friends/families to bring encouragement as they meet the needs of foster children right here in Huntsville.
